Little Black Dress - A History of An Iconic Fashion Item

We're all aware of the phrase Little Black Dress. With that we are aware that it refers to an evening dress that is simply cut and often short. However, many of us are unaware of its origins and what it actually entails.

Aside from being a neutral colour black was also symbol of the romantics and creative artists. The dress also became popular because of the scarcity of resources brought on by the world war and events like the great depression.
